Come on, weather gods whichever pantheon you choose. I could care less if it rained dogs and cats the next couple of days, but I would like you to at least tone it down a little for the show of the people in charge.

Some are hinting at canceling faire...which is not done.

I realize it rained last year, please just make it a sprinkling in the morning like I'm use to?

Who hinted at canceling faire? I don't care if it is a monsoon, I'll be out there. ^_^

The rain on Saturday has morphed into thunderstorms since I last checked the weather. It's like all outdoor events, I suppose. Rain we can deal with, lightning not so much.

I doubt it will be canceled, though. That would be Not Cool.

That's the thing...and while they've morphed into thunderstorms today, who's to say they won't be showers in actuality. I just wish that the Council president hadn't brought it up this early.

Every year that I was involved, we always said "rain or shine." Please tell me that has not changed!

Well, so do we, and proved it last year as it continued to rain for several hours, but this Saturday seems to be mostly Thunderstorms...

I'll cross my fingers then and hope for the best.

It's truly a disappointment to see a organization who's roots reach back decades fall so low. Yes, if there are thunderstorms, you need to make sure that all people are safe. That doesn't mean canceling all events on the chance there might be heavy rain. It's one thing if a higher power (the city of Columbus, for example) says that outdoor activities must be canceled; it's another if students failed to consider the level of commitment required to put on a professional-level event.
