Dec. 6th, 2007 02:15 pmWell, the quarter is officially over and it seems that I did okay this time around.
I haven't gotten back many of my grades but I didn't fail my Chemistry class so that's a plus. I figure with the curve it may be a B or a C depending on where the rest of my class stands. I ended up with a B+ in my Photoshop class which is great! As for the ConSci class and the 20th Cen Fashion, they haven't been posted yet but I should probably have B's or A's considering how well I was doing on the exams and projects/papers.
Edit: My Consci class just updated grades and I have an A-.
I haven't found a real job yet but I did sign earlier to be an independent contractor for a designer in town who is needing to expand in order to keep up with her online demands. It's kinda cool but I'm not sure how steady work will be. I basically cut and sew garments, at the moment she's trying to build up some inventory so that there isn't so much of a rush to get things done when large orders come in.
Don't worry, I'm still looking for a real job and have been sending out resumes and filling out applications when I can. There just seems to be shit going on....those big retail places that seem to need so many people don't respond to applications or decide that they really don't need as many people as they thought they did. It seems the economy is in a slump this year....duh.
But I may have some commissions as soon as I get my ass into gear and develop some patterns. That is part of the goal for this winter break, get the things done that I've been putting off for months on end. So what does this entail, you ask? Lots of things, both sewing and general house things as we still have a fair amount of stuff needing work on or rearranging so we don't drive ourselves mad this winter since it seems we may actually have one of those, if the four-five inches of snow yesterday is any indicator.
So here are the lists, arranged by category of sewing: mundane, Guild, steampunk and house: clean, arrange, winterproof

Okay I think that's it for the moment....I guess I better get started on something now that I have it all written down...
