Jun. 6th, 2006 10:50 pmThere are boys howling at the moon across the street, badly.
I think Mara and I have found a place to live for next year. It is about as old as the house we currently live in but is in better condition. A duplex and with old windows but I think it will be - Allie just stuck her head into my empty UDF ice cream cup and flailed about with it stuck. *shakes head* Where was I?
Right, house is only 750 a month, split between three that is 275 or so and the boy who lives there now said that they didn't bother to turn the heat on at all this year, so it can be done. I'm not sure I will want to go to that extreme but hopefully plan for better weatherproofing next year to keep the heat in. It is only two stories so that hopefully will help. He did mention that they were broken into soon after they moved but had the landlady put in a better lock and hadn't had problems since.
Still job searching, hoping someone will call and say "hey, when do you want to start?" It's getting frustrating, that I have no retail experience yet can't get hired to get experience. Stupid retail. And I'm pretty sure I'd be good at it. I can get people to let me wrap them in ducttape when they barely know me.
Speaking of, people are apparently already asking about garb for next year's faire. Wonderful!
My own garb ideas have been flowing and I wish I have money to buy fabric but it will have to wait. The sewing bug will have to be fed with fabric that I already have and simple things like mundane skirts and tops. And while typing this i realized I still have an awful lot of that lovely dark green I made my first madrigal dress out of...hmm I wonder if I can use that as a base fabric for the mids I want to make. Though, there is still that issue of the dye rubbing off. I'll have to try washing it a few more times and see what that does.
One more final and I will be done for this year. Woot. Now, with Shakespeare in Love nearly over I think it is time for bed.
