People were taking down the fences and putting them in a rather large truck this morning as I was walking to class. This is about damned time. But it looks awesome and people were already taking advantage of the lack of fences to sit and relish the new grass and open spaces.
I have one exam this afternoon, two on Monday and another on Wednesday. I should study. Meh.
Also, it appears that I am the noble Lady Penelope for next year's faire...I really want to be able to make her work, to be the lady in actuality. Acting and the drama required is something that I've never really done before, in fact, I was usually trying the opposite. Not being seeing rather than filling a room with presence. But I think I can do it, and it seems, others think I can as well. I hope I don't disappoint. And with this new character, I have been thinking about dresses as she is very clearly nobility and must be dressed to the nines. But not extravagantly. Proper and with a style that is subtle and still elegant. I've been bent on having a steel grey and dark blue dress since I saw the one at Bay Area. I wish I could find pictures of it... should look later for any. Also have a want for a doublet bodice...been talking and thinking about this for a while and found a picture of one that I liked on costume.dm.net , an italien-style that I think looks lovely. The collar's curved and pulled away from the neck. Ooh, I can make the website unframed...awesome, means I can put the pic here.
