(no subject)

So I tried a couple new things today. I made tofu mayo which turns out more like tahini than mayo....may need some additional seasoning. I also tried to make paneer... 2 cups of goat milk boiled and added lemon juice. Got it to curdle and do what it was supposed to, but failed to have a large enough square of cloth to contain all the whey and curd to drain. And I didn't have enough hands to control the cloth at that size...so next time larger cloth. At least it was only two cups of milk and not a quart like the recipe called for. Though I think the next time I try this I do use a whole quart, because it should yield about 1.5 cups of cheese.

In sewing news, I have the linen sundress mostly done and fitted my model last night. Thankfully it was big and so I'm going to alter it hopefully some after this or more likely tomorrow. I need to cut out the flounces for the grey dress as the silk is in and we've dyed it the initial pink. This means I also need to drape the cowls for the gown and determine the skirt lines... my model is a lot taller than me and thus will require more fabric.

Going to the Viking Festival this weekend. Should be fun and somewhat relaxing since next weekend is faire and the end of the month is the fashion show. Still have a lot to get done...
