Apr. 18th, 2008 10:54 amI purchased a new case for my laptop this week, since if you've been at a Garb workshop you know how decrepit my computer has become in the three years I've had it. I couldn't afford a new computer so I thought I'd see if I could get the case replaced as it is really the only thing wrong with it to the point where I'm hesitant to move it across a room. A couple of google searches led me to Ebay since Dell no longer makes my computer and I have no warranty, so about sixty bucks later I have a new-to-me case for my computer.
I won't get to shift everything over until Sunday, when I have someone else around to make sure I read the service manual I downloaded from Dell and have enough cleared space on a flat surface that is not a floor to have a couple of hours to Frankenstein it. Next thing on the list is a new keyboard, with working and not-missing buttons and a lack of cat hair.
With this update, and maybe some increased memory, it might last me until Grad school.
