I hate floundering like this. It was always a possibility that he would break up with me, and really I thought, in the beginning it would happen a whole lot sooner than it has. And now I am facing the reality, and it's like gasping for air after having the wind knocked out of you, it feels like it will take forever and eventually you can breathe again. I'm stiill gasping for air, and it's not going away.

Gah, there is no coherency to my thoughts, I should go to bed and get on with living. After all, I was doing that anyway.
