textileowlSinger treadle sewing machine - dated 1908 manufactured in Wittenburg, Prussia- what is now Germany.
White Royal rotary sewing machine - will have to update during normal business hours... as I can't find anything online...maybe check and see if I got the correct manufacturer.
These are the two sewing machines I picked up for free on Saturday. They haven't been run in at least thirty years and have been used as altars, fish tank holders and side tables. But they are both gorgeous cabinet sewing machines and seem to have all their parts. I will probably not get to have a good look at them until I move, but I hope to at least have a sense of what needs done to make them useable and pretty again someday.
My sister got married Saturday afternoon. It was strange and a small crowd, not nearly enough people for a proper wedding. I worry that she will disappear in that small apartment with a potentially abusive spouse and nowhere to run. But hopefully, she will get out if she needs to. I don't think she would let anyone threaten Lyn.
It sounds like I am getting a raise at Mozarts, which is nice, but also makes me feel kinda bad that I may be leaving when school starts if I can find something better. I think it depends on how big this raise is, and whether or not he understands that when I give him a schedule of when I can work, that there is very little leeway because of classes and guild. And no one messes with my free time or guild time.
I move on Aug 24, that is when the apartment opens up to us and everything switches names. I have to set up electric and internet still. Going to try and get that done tomorrow or at the latest Thursday. Still need to pack everything up, another job for tomorrow and Thursday.
