The Fantasticks
Jan. 16th, 2009 11:34 amSo Jeff and I went to the opening performance of The Fantasticks last night. It was the Columbus Civic Theater's first performance and was quite remarkable for a first showing. The cast was superb with spectacular singing voices and great comedic timing.
It was performed at a small local bookstore, which was an interesting venue, but considering the musical is a black box performance, the small space was ideal and intimate.
If you're in town, I highly recommend seeing this off-the wall play about growing up, love, and learning about the world. It will continue to run this weekend, and the next two weekends in January. The Columbus Civic Theater has all the information needed.
