Jul. 24th, 2005 10:49 pmSo...
Bleh.
This week wasn't all that bad. Tried to do the corn field work and just about died right there in the field. I stayed for one day and then told them I couldn't work there. I just couldn't handle the sun and heat and the corn...don't ask me to make it make sense. It won't.
Spent Tuesday doing just about nothing...took sheep to the butcher's and got a call from the temp agency saying that they had an opening in the same place that they offered to me two weeks ago. Decided it was worth a shot and honestly...it isn't too bad. What I'm basically doing is sorting out gobs of clothing into the orders that stores send in. Not terribly difficult and it's inside though not air conditioned but lots of fans. Noisy and some tedious work but I keep moving and get things done. I'm there from six in the morning to two thirty and then on Aug 2...it switches to ten to seven thirty.
Spent my birthday in Columbus with Pyr and his family and had a nice time. I got a quilt made by my step-mom and some other things but nothing grand...I'm not big on presents most of the time anyway...never know what I want.
As for sewing...I have a chemise to remake into a high-necked smock and fabric waiting to become a simple bodice and skirts...still haven't the money for the velvet and silk but I'm still drooling over them.
And that's it for the moment...must sleep...
