Jan. 4th, 2005 01:16 pmFrench at nine in the morning will be very entertaining and will require lots of coffee in order to be able to speak in a different language that early. The teacher, I think, is excellent and so is the class. They all seemed quite awake as well. Unfortunately, our workbooks for the class must be ordered and so I can't work on the homework for the class as of yet. The teacher has a habit of saying things like " Choose the next victim, or Who shall we torture next? " And in a French accent, it is just hilarious.
Music will be fun, I can tell, as we will be going over the music cultures of non-western European countries. India, Japan, Africa and Bosnia will be the cultures we look at. Yay! Slavic music. The professor reminds me of many of my band teachers in her ethusiasm for the actual music. Plus, she is ill right now and trying to talk when she probably shouldn't be as she has no voice. I find that just spectacular that she came to class and while trying to let the TAs run the show, still felt the need to push us in the right direction. I should speak up more in that class.
The Bio 101 class is huge , 600 plus bodies all in one class room is kinda unnerving. It took a good fort-five minutes for everyone to get into the class room. Other than that aspect, I like bio and hope to do rather decently in it. Besides, the professor doing the lecture was mildly entertaining and so that should keep me awake for a while.
Math was... odd. The lecturer is Polish, I want to say, or maybe Russian but his accent is off somehow and I can't identify it which bugs me. We worked on Euler route problems and odd. I think I will be saying it a lot for this class.
*looks up at the list* One, two, three, four. Yeah, that's all of them.
Other than that..... council meeting and Shaun of the Dead... very interesting movie. But like 'Kella said not something I'd ever want to watch again. Oh, and I was supposed to go and present in front of a class for Guild, to recruit new members...yeah, the right class room would've been handy. Or at least me being able to find it. So that was a no-go which is sad because I needed the experience of doing it.
The itty-bitty coffee maker my dad got me for Christmas makes just enough coffee to fit in my one huge mug. Yay! Lots of coffee for me! Beware world.
