Ok, sitting here and freezing my butt off as I wait for the heater to warm up the room. Hmm, probably would do it faster if I shut the door....*shuts it* Now we'll see. Wednesday night my dad and Amber picked me up from my dorm and off we went to mamaw and papaw's for the night. It's only about two hours from Columbus and it was sad that it was dark as we drove because I've never been on the north side of 23. Yes, south of Columbus is north to me when I want it. Hah. So anyway, lots of talking, Gangs of New York (decent though I was worried. And shouldn't burns leave more of a scar than just a darkened spot?. Realized just how backward my grandparents are when mamaw suggested I should be a politician. *shudders* Eww, it was bad enough just listening to everyone preach about their ideas of how things should be.

Hermit life does sound good, just dig me a cable line to a cabin in the middle of the Appalachians and I'll be just fine. I'd be a connected hermit. Me and the computer. Hmm, should be worrisome. Well, maybe a tv too, so I can at least watch Gilmore Girls and ER. Oh, heck just bring me up to technological speed and leave the house in the hills. I'll be an advanced hermit. So anyways, was actually going to talk about Thanksgiving. Very lovely time to see cousins who I haven't seen since....easter maybe.

Now to clear things up a bit, my dad's side of the family is quite extensive and let's see if I can get this all down and make it make sense. Dad is the youngest of six kids. Three boys and three girls. They're pretty good about getting things even. Cindy is the oldest girl and has two kids of her own, these are the oldest of the cousin. Early twenties I think. Jeb (Yes, we call him Jeb remember Minford Ohio and if not that then at least Portsmouth, if not that Southern Ohio should explain it all. ), he's been married for seven years maybe and has two kids, one of whom is older than my littlest brother at five. Then there is Lindsay, she has one little girl and isn't married. Haven't seen her and don't care to. Never have liked her.
Next up is Dewey the oldest son of my dad's family. He has three kids. Jill, Justin, and Joni. The J names have stuck with half the clan. Jill is two years older than me and has a beautiful little girl named Bria whose 1st birthday is this Saturday. Last year at this time, she was looking like a swollen pumpkin. And seriously when you're 5'1 and was maybe a hundred pounds before getting pregnant, that's saying a lot. She's not married as well but at least we do know who Bria's dad is and *gasp* he show's up to family events. He's cool, really, even if I can't remember his name. Steven or Shaun or something similar and relatively Irish. Justin is six weeks younger than me and as of Wednesday, married to me. Kidding, his wife (weird to be saying that) is named Jessica so that make two of us not counting my namesake, Great-Grandma (Mamaw still but just to clarify) Jessie May. She's 85 and actually the worst off of the three I have left. Joni, thankfully still acts like any other teenager at 15, I think. My memory gets worse off as the ages get younger so there will be lots of iffy numbers.
While my dad is the youngest, he's actually the next one to have kids, starting with me! Yes, at nineteen years old I have surpassed the age where my parents had me. Joy! One accomplishment complete. Then there is my sister the basket case at 16, seriously though she likes to date boys as to fix them. The one she's dating now...just got a two week suspension for stabbing someone with a pin, granted she told him she could but still...duh. Bud , (James in real life) is 13 and acts like any other boy did at that age. Then Jacob at 5 with a case of clearing up chicken pox. They all had Thanksgiving with my mom and Mike at my uncle Robby's. (Why didn't I just explain that side of the family, so much easier?.)
Next up kid-age wise is Mary, who is the second youngest of the girls (I think, don't ever ask me to put them in order.) Megan is eleven days older than my sister and quite the little punk, but she's alright. Then there's Clay who I think is Bud's age. See fuzziness set in? They live in Virginia so they don't get to come to holidays very often.
Kenneth is the one where I get the most confused. He's been married three times with the first lasting fourteen years and the consecutive ones lasting never more than three years. In fact it looks like this one is on the rocks as of now. Out of the deal he has three sons, Ben, Trevor and Wyatt that are his. Then there are about five extra kids, male and female that have come with the deal. I can never remember their names. It hurts my head too much.
Last is Betsy, the youngest girl of the six and my favorite aunt, though I never get to see her now as they live in Georgia. Two kids Dane at 12 maybe and Bryce at a couple years younger. Very neat people and I do wish we got to see them more as they tend to even out everything even though they are quite crazy.

At Thanksgiving, there was Dewey's clan and half of Kenneth's, Me Dad and Amber, Cindy and Roger but none of their kids and grands. It was quite sparse at Granny's  (yet another great-grandma, the best out of the three) without everyone there and that wasn't counting the second cousins and great aunts and uncles. This massive gathering usually happens at Christmas more than any other time.
Other than that, not much happened this weekend. I lounged about at home and ate foods I can't get otherwise. Played around with my dog and the cats, worked on the embroidery I've been neglecting and neglecting the homework I need to do. Catching up on sleep and enjoying the fact that my room is cold and I have to pile on blankets rather than throwing them off. Can't sleep if it's too hot, very bad. Ok need to get on with my homework that I was neglecting. If I forgot something, probably will slip it in somewhere else when I remember.
