Mar. 10th, 2008 12:07 amSo it's been a while since I last posted. Whoops, but things quickly became busier than the rest of the quarter had been. It is all over now, but for turning in my Fashion Illustration final project and taking an exam for Global Issues on Tuesday where I'm allowed an amazing three pages of notes. I have a feeling this last exam will go much better than the previous two.
Madrigal was....last week? It went really well for having a massive amount of issues that popped up at last minute, like suddenly needing a different venue for Saturday night because another group became priority over ours. Our new cast is doing great and I think will only keep getting better after the performance anxiety and sickness go away. I'm falling out a bit more with Guild, I dislike that I am but with my major classes having become more time-consuming and with work picking back up as well as graduating in the Fall, I just don't have the time for it anymore. My role in Faire won't be huge either, barkeeper and non-fighter, maybe song guild.
The snow storm this weekend was pretty, and kept me inside and working on my final project all weekend. Which is good because it is pretty impressive. I kinda have a feeling my professor is waiting to see how we do on these before deciding if we can be in the Project Development class this Spring. I was fairly certain after my interview that I am in since I basically agreed to take the second class in the Fall in order to take a draping workshop next quarter.
Haven't gotten much done on the Fashion show dresses, been so busy with class work and the gowns for Madrigal. But I'll have time over break and I hope to get them finished enough that I can work on my garb again. The embroidery is really the most time-consuming part. 25 trepunto style pieces on each side of the front and back. I've one front side nearly finished.
I need to clean. I hope I can manage to do so without going too crazy. But the living room has doubled as living room, dining room, and art studio for the last eight weeks and this means that there are piled masses of things that have been out of place since we needed to use them and then didn't put away when we were finished since we were just going to use it again in a couple of days anyway.
So- on my list of things to do while on break, other than work.
Clean
Living room
Work area
Bedroom- turning into study/office
Pattern
Full size bias dress
Half size pleated dress
Full size pleated dress
Sew
One dress to as complete as possible
One dress in pieces
Embroidery on garb when I can't work on something else
