Ok, here's the couple of apartments I've set up appointments for on Thursday.

Indian Oaks- 515 Oakland Park Ave
- $525 a month + utilities pets have additional costs
- $300 security deposit

- $625 includes electric and water, tenant pays gas (heat) two window a/c
- pets non-refundable $100

Clintonville Commons- 4530 N High St.
- $539 on site laundry and a/c
- appointment at 11:00am

416 E. Wyandotte
- $500 - $550 either a first floor flat(gardenhome) or townhouse
- recently remodeled, on-street parking, window a/c, dishwasher
- selena is renting from these guys as well, living across the street at 405
- appointment to see 2 apartments at 4:45, late I know, but the only ones I could get on Thursday.

I have a couple other places that I can call to set things up with but this is a decent list of places for the moment.

Ok, I am still a bit iffy on the distance but, I liked the way it felt when my mom and I stopped there last week, so it is still on the list.

Nope, Clintonville commons is up by the Park of Roses. A bit further than Dodridge.

You should check out Margetis Investments. They have some nice 2-bdr townhouses in Clintonville, right at Clinton Park on Dorris (where Tulane ends) west of High St. They're close to the bike path, aparently well-maintained. Kinda small, $610/month. Only two or three blocks from High, so bus is still accessable, and not as far north as Clintonville Commons. http://www.metro-rentals.com/margetis/
I never had a problem with North Campus Rentals, rented from them for 2 years, but you probably knew that.
